Are cockles and laverbread as delicious as they look and sound? I saw a show with a big breakfast plate of them and some bangers and it looked fantastits.

I didt care too much for English sausage, is there a difference between English and Irish sausage?
It kind of reminded me of scrapple. I think you would dig scrapple.

Both are very good. I've had great examples in both countries with obviously a touch of bias toward my own kinsman's variety. American saussage (links as y'all add to distinhuish it from what we Irish would call pudding) is rarely in the same ballpark when it comes to flavor and texture. I know not why, I am bereft of butchery knowhow. I think it's because there are not enough lips and as$holes in American saussage.

*hot-dogs are excluded for obvious reasons*

Never had scrapple but I'm sure I'd like it. Does not resemble Irish saussage. (I will forgo any obvious double entendres here.)

More coffee and hoping the rest of the work day is smooth. I'm sure the staff meeting later will be tons of fun.

Scrapple is essentially hog offal. It has a very similar texture to English sausage, the taste wasn't too far off.

Unfortunately, now I have seen it.

This kind of crap makes me so angry. People are just eating it up. So, I used to love sweets and hated bitter. Now that I 'trained' myself to like bitter IPA's and no longer can stomach sweet things, does that mean I trained myself to be malevolent and psychotic? Or does it mean I was like that from the beginning, and was bound to prefer bitter things?

Just stupid. At least it was no more than a 30 second read.

That's right up my alley. Thanks for the recommendation, I'll add it to my must try when traveling lists.
We were actually thinking about visiting my wifes name-sake county Clare in the future, so going in with an idea of what to try food wise is a plus.
 
I love blood sausage.



German, Irish, Taiwanese. Each has their own signature.


Never have understood the appeal of eating things with blood in them. I cringe when I watch bizarre foods and he's showing people making blood foods or one episode in Africa where they drank blood straight out of the cow and ate the bits that coagulated in the container. Blood is not part of any of my food groups. To each his own, I guess.
 
I like IPA and black coffee. And I'm left handed, wasn't that a thing for psychos too?

I like blood sausage. My wife used to like blood sausage. She works in a hospital OR and is now pretty turned off from the smell/flavor. Reminds her of surgery I guess.
