I cant see your gifs CAD. I miss out on most of them for watever sciency reason. I don't com-puter science.

They're unimportant. Did you have a good view of the moon at all this week? It was pretty awesome.

Intredasting.

I keep my blonde/cream ales relatively clean, so was just curious.

That's totally fair also. The last blonde I made was very simple, and was quite good. I feel like having a bit more fun with this batch, and see how it goes. I might be brewing it this weekend, if not then within the next couple weeks for sure. I'll obviously keep everyone appraised of how it turns out, since talking about beer is better than working.

Well, that's definitely why we brew.

I did an IPA with spruce tips from my backyard once... Won't do it again probably, but was fun to try it out.

Well, my beer gun is supposed to arrive tomorrow. Now I just have to fill my CO2 tank so I can force-carb my stout and bottle it (probably next weekend since I have scout campout this weekend and will be in CT most of next week.) After the carb fail on my quad, I'm too scared to just pitch more yeast and sugar and hope it carbs - put way too much time into this beer. Oh, and beer mail from my friend in Cleveland is due this afternoon - Hop JuJu tomorrow!

The lack of serious interest in anti-sweetness properties in this thread is disturbing.

@beermeduffman : What's the debate of the day, anything I can participate in this time?

Actually, I have a simple one...and if anybody answers wrong we can no longer be friends.
Who shot first?

Ok, how about this; for a hefe or wheat forward beer, do you prefer banana esters or clove? At what point is the balanced tipped to far in either direction?

Hefe is the only style of beer I've ever made that has failed. One batch of gushers and one batch of horrible flavor. I'd prefer perfectly balanced or 60/40 clove.

Maybe we should do a prize for the 20,000 post again. Everybody who wants to try it put up one bottle. Whoever posts 20,000 will win the pool and everybody sends that person one bottle of something.

I'm down, let's get a list going.

Man...

Neither. I do not like Hefes one bit, and wheat beers that aren't hop-forward are laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame.

I barely got to participate, but there's my stance.

I made one hefe that evidently had a bunch of unfermented sugars prior to bottling. Gusher doesn't do the actual event justice.. what an absolute mess
Tasted good, a little sweet, but good.

it's tipped too far as soon as you formulate the recipe. I don't really like hefes or wheats (unless they are a wheat heavy PA/IPA).

Coffee is done and still feels like I am too.

The AFPFFWD 20,000th Post Pool brought to you in part by Beermeduffman

Every entrant offers up one beer (bottle or can), to be shipped to the person who happens to post to this thread for the 20,000th time. You do not need to disclose what you are sending ahead of time.

Feel free to send more if you so desire.

If you would like to participate, quote this post and I'll add your name to the list.

Must participate to win.

For the sake of fairness, try not to spam to 20,000 once we get close. That ain't right. Any poster that posts more than 3 times in a row in the hunt for 20,000 will be DQ'd (this will be discussed amongst the friendly friends to determine if an infraction has occurred).

I'll keep track of the list.

1. Psylocide
2. TheCADJockey
3. 1977Brewer
4. BeerMeDuffman

(any other thoughts on this are welcome)

If the 20,000th poster does not want to be shipped free beer, the prize will be awarded to the next closest poster over the 20,000 mark.

I'm in, Ill even offer up something limited, maybe.

#CADscatGifsareimportant

Very cloudy here yesterday. Looked normal earlier in the week but we have no snow. Never heard of a snow moon. Had to google it (not a problem). It sounds a bit like the latest fad of naming winter storms. Too many names.

If you have already got the accessory kit this may be a bit late but here is a great thread on a seemingly better way to hook up your beergun. I don't have one (yet). If I do I'll go this route.
