I've got a lot of the Ghostbusters, despite being terrified of the movie when I was little. I also have the Ecto-1 and the Firestation, though my mom never let me have the ooze to pour through the hole in the top of the building. Too messy or something. I did have a uniform, backpack and trap too. Holy hell I was spoiled.

My son and I were Ghostbusters for Halloween a few years back. I spent 6 months making proton packs. We may revisit that costume this year.

I have spent all morning researching Pinewood Derby builds. I have been looking at it from a scientific standpoint. This is going to be fun.

Last college halloween party I went to I was as well.. I didn't make a proton pack/gun though. Just felt patches of the logo, name tag, and some goggles. I was broke enough after buying a CWU-27p flight suit.

The "stupid big thing with a lion head"? That is what my mom said on the phone. This is what she was referring to:

door's open.... Thundercats are loose

Remember that your son is supposed to build, with the exception of using power tools. ;)

Still have 2 Atari 2600's, a pong console, and a Calecovision in my old closet at my Grandmas.

The dark place involves a drunk stepdad and a midnight bonfire in the front yard of the trailer we vacated in the dark of night. I lost everything. First gen Star Wars toys, He-Man. GI Joe's. All of it.

And all of my clothes and a brand new NES.

I dunno if he's still alive, but I hope he's miserable if he is.

He is in charge of everything except for power tools. He and I sat down and drew up the design. I cut the initial shape and made guides for him to sand down to.

Tuning is going to be on me with his assistance. I want him to learn the science behind everything vs the car goes down a track.

I get to design one for our adult leader fun race, no rules anything goes, except for propulsion devices.

Yes, the adult/boy scout heats are the funnest part.

Probably the best Christmas present from my childhood. This dude went every where with me. I build a carrier for my big wheel for him from a milk carton and bungie cords, just so I wouldn't have to leave him behind anywhere.

When I was a toddler, I had one of these apparently. I found it in the attic years later and was pretty sure I had positive memories of it. Then my Mom informed me that I used to beat the ever-loving snot out of it on a daily basis. I guess I was jealous of the 'attention' that Buddy got, while my parents were trying to use it as a teaching tool (how to work buttons, how to tie your shoes, etc).

Woo! I am making my final car payment.

I own both of my vehicles now... feels like I won the lottery.

Not really.

Still pretty exciting. I paid my car off in 2012, SWMBO's is paid off in June. She's already been pushing me to buy a new one, and I'm like, "can't we just bask in the satisfaction of not having a car payment for a few months?

"Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo" is a grammatically correct sentence.
Save me.

Wife has a couple month old Honda Fit, it's a nice car. I drive a total beater and love it. Suzuki Swift I bought about a year and a half ago for $1700. No problems yet and 40mpg? Don't mind if I do. Beaters 4 lyf.

Always a great feeling. Can't wait to have my wife's car paid off next year. Then it's my turn for a new one. Not sure how much more I can get out of my truck, but I'm going to see how far she goes without a major engine/transmission problem. About to roll over 236,000 miles.
