Awesome awesome awesome... I love dropping by the forum and reading up on some of the absolutely superb ideas and projects that flow through here!

Though I may be absolutely and utterly green with envy in the amount of time, money, and space you have put into these projects! I have to admit I just can't stay away...

But now it is my turn!

:ban::ban:SWMBO has finally given the ok to brew in my own house!!! :ban::ban:

No more shall I have to scurry through the night! To sneak in unannounced and unwanted to my home brewer buddies homes and brew my dark drink in the bowels of another mans hearth!
No more will I have to leave work early to creep past said home brewers wife and whisper sweet nothings in dim light to a beautifully curved and bubbling carboy!
Too bad however that their are conditions and said conditions are a kick in the teeth!

But I Digress...

I'm pretty handy, I can fix just about anything you put in front of me! But now I need to build... I'm hoping you lovely folks can suggest some good reading material for a guy who's looking to really jump into DIY. I need to really learn how to build and stabilize carpentry, plumbing, electrical and just about anything else that can and will come up in my pursuit of disgustingly large amounts of great brew!
The sad thing is that their is lots of books and websites and How-To's... But many are incredibley vague or they go on for three pages which end of the screwdriver I should be holding and why.

Your help is appreciated! Cheers gents!

if you're DIY skills are limited, I suggest looking through the "Show us your brew sculpture" thread, find one you like within your skill level and copy it piece by piece, screw by screw.

well as it stands... My fermenting space is as it stands zip... I need to build two basic matched cabinet's strong enough and wide enough to fit 4 6.5 gallon fermentors... 2 on top of two... and a storage area to fit my equipment for both... after that ha it gets easy!

The next step will be the whole shebang with i was plannin on BIAB.... but thats not gunna do it for me I don't think I;d love to try electric!
