2017 SARA Cellar thread

Anyone know if that's Jester Kings allotment of EoC they couldn't sell?

It's not, JK FINALLY got label approval in Texas so they will be selling it soon.

I debated all week whether or not I would finally make the trek to SARA or not and went to sleep on Friday saying “no.”

Woke up this morning and figured what the hell, let’s go!

Left SF around 1030am and headed to Aptos St. BBQ. Great spot! Food was awesome, staff was awesome, and the tap list was awesome. I got the meat combo (brisket and tri-tip) and a can of Riot Punch, so I was a very happy camper.

Then I headed over to SARA Capitola to grab some bottles of Appreciation and Nonna’s blend and a half pour of Full Hands In and a full pour or Point Being. Ever since the first SARA bottle I’ve had, I’ve been wanting I visit the brewery. Both beers were solid and I’m happy to have made the trek.

I’ll be heading over to Santa Cruz to check out the location and hopefully fine someone willing to split a bottle of EOC (if available) before calling it a day.

I took my daughter down there when she was that age. She had a ball and was excited about all the dogs.

Yeah, she's a lot better at chilling these days compared to like 2 weeks. She's happy to just karate chop with her arms and pump her legs back and forth.

If she's good with other people being around, it will be super-fun, and the other guests and staff tend to be super-pro-baby. Unfortunately, it will only get harder from here. Toddlers are, um, harder to entertain than newborns.

Mine tries crawling after Rooster. Great workout.

She usually behaves when new people are around, so we should be good. She saves most of her freak outs just for us. "I swear she's never this good!" is a common refrain.

Same for ours. It's no longer the case, which sucks. She now tends to be great when we're at home and freaks out in restaurants a little bit. She's still usually awesome in public, it's just no guarantee at the moment. Terrible 2s, and that.

If the kid is still crawling (ie not toddling) is it really a toddler?

Anyway, can confirm that the Portal is kind of rough with a toddler, it seems like the only thing he wanted to do was run outside and into the street. I figured out way too late that there are Jenga sets in the corner, those are a fantastic distraction.

Dogs are allowed on the small outside patio but not inside due to food.

Had a solid trip yesterday. Baby arrived asleep and stayed asleep for maybe 30 minutes. We started losing her around an hour so bailed around then. Nice space and Violet Premiere was damn good. Also has anyone else noticed the place smells kinda weird? Like not good.
