1st Batch Irish Stout Done and Tested

It worked!!

My husband is totally pleased and so am I. It has a great flavor and makes a huge head. Kicks like a mule to boot.

I took some to my cowboy friend in Texas and he is used to drinking Miller lite. (yuck) He told me it was like drinking three of them and called it a 'sipping beer'.

Anyhow, thanks for babysitting me through my efforts. To anyone who has not tried to brew a batch: Go for it!

This was a Cooper's Kit, highly recommended for a beginner.

There's nothing at all like that first sip of your homebrewed beer. You've also reminded me that I need to get a cider started for the winter.
