As with any organized "Award Show" there are a lot of people behind the scenes. Every regional meetup would need a working web connection, web cam, display of other meetup feeds, and other essentials like contact info for all participants, food, beer, etc. On the widespread scale, we'll need to have a central point of contact for all regional orgs, we'll need a few people working on setting up the ballots and counting votes, I'd really like to have some sort of physical awards for each category that can be shipped to org in advance, and when the envelopes are opened, they can give the award to the member if they are in attendance (otherwise regional orgs will accept on that individuals behalf). I'm thinking go big or go home on this one.

just go ahead and send me the south's awards. i will be happy to split them with EgadBananas since as far as i know we are the only ones here from our region. south dont give a **** about the internets. the two of us can even cuddle up in front of the webcam for you guys to get your rocks off if you want

I'd love to host here in East TN ( have a 2000+ sq foot finished basement built for beer drinking and debauchery) but someone that understands webcams and the like would need to work their magic.

I'd be down to attend something in the South-Atlantic region, be it Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, or whatever. Or I could host, Florence SC is roughly half-way between Miami and DC on I-95. Most of the drugs that move up and down that corridor get passed off at exit 164, we could have the tasting party in some sketchy motel there while guys on cell phones roam back and forth outside.
