    Brewing with juniper berries

    I am very interested in using juniper berries as my bittering agent. My girlfriend is allergic to hops so i was going to try this. I have heard .25 oz per gallon of wort. Is this too much? I see alot of adding to the secondary. Would it not work in the boil?

    Mixing red and white grape juice for wine?

    Hi, i am thinking about tinkering with wine to try and better myself at wine making before i use better grapes and such. I was going to try doing a red juice, white juice, and then mix the two together. Would that make it a Rose? If so that would be awesome

    Juniper for bittering agent in my beer??

    I was thinking about doing an experiment where i go with a basic malted barley, water, and yeast beer and instead of hops, using juniper berries. Has anyone tried this? If so, was it worth it?

    Fermented pickle problem?

    Hi, i tried my first batch of fermented pickles and followed instructions step by step. However, when taste testing and smelling them, they seem hideous! Not sour and smell horrible. Did the whole fermenting for a week, the brine turned cloudy and everything. Where do you think i went wrong?

    Tepache similar process to Kombucha?

    After reading up on tepache, i notice that it is very similar to how kombucha is made. It ferments with being open to oxygen. Do you end up getting a Scoby with tepache too? Also, have you tried this method with other fruits?

    Fermented Dill Pickles

    Anyone have any good recipes? I havent tried yet. Have done refrigerator pickles, but am hearing how much superior refrigerator ones are to vinegar ones.

    Twisted Tea?

    If Twisted Tea is a malt beverage, does that mean a basic beer base base is brewed and then fermented with tea? Trying to figure this out so i can try making some.
