    "Hazy" ipa recipe

Hoping to get options and input on the recipe below. Trying to emulate the northeast style ipa, with a variety of hops. Not sure if these hops play well together or no, and never done a whirlpool before. Also not sure if I should ad wheat into the grain bill or stick with oats for the Haze...

Thoughts on this Galaxy dominant Ipa recipe?

Brewing this tomorrow, but was trying to balance out the hop schedule. Curious about people's take on this, with the combo of hops and such. Also have Eldorado, equinox, Columbus, more Nelson, Chinook, and cascade to work with. So, rather flexible on the varieties at this point. Input is appreciated

    Galaxy and Equinox IPA??

Has anybody tried pairing these two hops before in an ipa? If so what would be a suggestion for a good hop schedule? I have 2oz packs of these two (total 4oz of equinox and plethora of galaxy) and curious how they pair. Any help is appreciated

    Magic Chef Freezer for Fermentation

http://m.homedepot.com/p/Magic-Chef-6-9-cu-ft-Chest-Freezer-in-White-HMCF7W2/203445397 I am looking at getting one of these for temp controlled Fermentation, and unfortunately I don't have any carboys with me to see how many would fit in there at one time. Anyone know by chance? It's 6.9 cu ft...

    Mini Fridge for Fermentation

Looking to buy a mini fridge for Fermentation to keep temp controlled for one 6.5 Gallon carboy. Any suggestions as to a specific fridge that worked for someone, or anyone know the size needed to fit the carboy with an airlock? Would like to try and limit the amount of stuff I have to rip out...

    Noob Beer Smith Equipment Question

I've screwed up my first couple batches of all grain so far while using beer Smith. I was hoping I could get up with a couple questions setting up my equipment profile in beersmith. I have a 10 gallon mash tun and an 8 gallon brew kettle that I am working with. I have been working with a 12...

Used too much priming sugar for bottling??

I just bottled an ipa (6.2% nothing intense) and it turned out to be about 3.5 gallons when it was finally bottled. Problem is I used 5 Oz of table sugar to prime with (dissolved in 2 cups of water and mixed into the bottling bucket before racking into bottles). Is this going to over carbonate...

    Smash recepie

Looking to do a single malt single hop extract recepie for an ipa. I've got a pound of galaxy hops in the freezer right now and plan on using those. I am curious about how I should schedule the additions though... I've heard post boil and dry hopping them are the best to get all the flavors...

    Same taste in all brews

I've brewed two batches with my starter kit that I got a while back (both extract brews). I tried to make a pale ale and it turned out like a Scottish ale, and I just bottled a cherry Hefe. They both tasted basically the same, I'm pretty sure I used the same extract for both batches (gave it the...

    Galaxy hops

Just bought a pound of galaxy hops online, and was curious as to good hop pairings and types of beer to use the galaxy in. (planning an ipa soon and thinking they would work well in that)

    Fruit beer

May be a stupid question, but just racked my beer on top of a pound(ish) of fresh cherries yesterday. I put in some campden tabs the day before and some beer to let them do their magic. My question is, in the secondary fermenter, will the cherries rot at all? They are floating on top of the beer...
