Natural gas brew stand - 23 tip burner to 10 tip conversion build.

Here is my 32 tip setup. I use it often. Me and my dad ( who is a welder/fabricator) built the stand. Have about 17' of 3/8" hose off of my 1" gas meter. You have to run it low, makes it a little sooty, but works great!

    cream soda tastes funny

I also made the (rainbow?) cream soda and it was way too watered down with 4 gals of water. The box says it makes 4 gallons. We sweetened it a lil at a time and still tasted like crap. It was my first batch of soda ever, and it kinda turned me off from making soda. I also dumped it out to...

building a bar but really want a tower

Over the winter I am tearing out our old bar and building a new one, along with some other remodeling that doesnt involve brewing. My bar design is very simple, a bar sink, a small fridge, and a keezer with a dual tower. There will be a regular counter height (36") and a tall counter (42"), on...

    DIY weldless thermometer

I want to add a thermometer to my HLT. Not so much concerned with the weldless part ( done that before), wondering if i can use a compression fitting around a stem thermometer. I kinda tried a 1/4 o.d. comp ring around a piece of poly tubing with the stem inside of the tubing, it all didnt...

I currently have a kegerator that i built about four years ago. Nothin special, one keg and a cheap tank and reg. I am going to build a keezer with two faucets and kegs. My question is how do force carb one keg (30 psi), and have one at serving presssure (4-7 psi). Does the gas have to be on...

How soon after kegging can I drink the beer

I keg it, little shake, put in the fridge, crank the gas up to 30 psi for 3 or 4 days. Then bleed the gas off, turn it down to serving pressure. Perfect brew everytime.:mug: Primary: None Secondary: Coffee Stout Bottled: Am. Pale ale, Vanilla Porter, Bock R.I.P.:Am. Brown Ale...

2 Different tastes: Botttled Extracts and Kegged AG

I made 4 batches of extract brew (dry yeast)and bottled with priming suger. I then made the switch to AG and made 4 batches (liquid yeast) and force carbed in a keg. The taste difference between the two is pretty distinct. The bottles are sort of sharp? tasting and the keg beer is so smooth...

    Best Mash Tun

I use a coleman rectagular cooler ( even though some say not to use them, i just wrap a sleeping bag around it and it holds the heat ok) and a copper manifold and I think it kicks ass, just make plenty of slots in even increments. Never had a stuck sparge except when i had a crappy valve on the...

Ever used a 32 tip burner?

made my frist batch with the 32 tip burner this sunday. It is fed by 17 feet of 3/8 hose, which i think helped the burner calm down a bit. also have a ball valve right by the burner, had it turned down quite a bit. the flame was orange and sooty, but it worked very well. Brought my wort (...

Ever used a 32 tip burner?

Just bought a natural gas 32 tip wok burner(155,000BTUs) Havent really seen or heard of anybody using on these. Propane stuff is easier for average joes than nat. gas. Im a plumber so it was cheap and easy for me.
