I picked it up for $20. I've been looking at round 10 gal ones for like 50. So for a 12 gal at 30$ off, I consider that a killer deal. This is also the even cheaper one, without the grooved bottom. I let you know how it works.
A side question, has anyone put one of these together and used an silicone or epoxy to make sure there's a 100% seal? I picked up some #15 o-rings, just didn't know if an epoxy would add insurance. And would it give off flavors too?
Another side question. I got a 20" washer screen and I'd like to find a way to keep it in one place on the bottom. I'd like to make a tear drop shape and glue or whatever the screen in place, but again, don't want to use something that'll give off flavors or become separated from the heat of my mash.
