Well, after a petition circulated under the Freedom of Information Act, the White House has released it's Honey Ale recipe--it looks pretty good on video and frankly this would be a conversation starter when served!

My wife is a big fan of Honey Ale's so I thought I would try it, but the cost of extract is absolutely oppressive--so I'd like to do it all grain, I'm not very good at converting these things--anyone have any ideas on converting the extracts into grain compounds?

Thanks in advance!

No worries. Read up about the addition of honey as well. There are plenty of threads, but the best way to get honey flavor is using honey malt. Otherwise, adding honey just raises the abv. Still tasty though.
