What is this bottle for?

I got some free beer making supplies and in the box was this bottle. I have looked for something similar but I can't find anything like it. What is it used for? Is it even for home brewing? The bottom is mostly round but has a flat spot off to the side a bit. So if it was to stand up on its own it would be at an angle.

It looks like hand blown glass. Could be a second or some ones practice piece. Could also be an artists piece worth a fortune. If you would have the provenance....?

Looks like a 3L soda bottle to me. Being blue-ish, maybe a fancy sparkling water bottle?

I searched pics. They look similar but don't have the round bottom like that.

I remember way back in my youth seeing 2L bottles with bottoms that separated (they where not of the same material) I pried one off and thats what the bottle looked like. This was the early 80's

Use it to help fill a trash bag....it's a used plastic soda bottle, who knows what's been in it. chuck it.
