Tried to take a carb sample of my india red ale and the beer was barely flowing. The poppit would also leak beer from the liquid side. took it off, found hop debris, and re-assembled. Did it again and went on the hunt for a dip tube someone sold me that was cut far too short. Hopefully that solves the issue and I don't lose a new tank of CO2 to a leaky post.

Cut some shelving to make my new spare fridge fit. Removed all non-beer related items from the original basement fridge and put in the new spare fridge. Added bottom stand to allow for 4-5 kegs in the original fridge.

Shopping for LME kit number 4. I'd like to add a chipoltle pepper syrup. What is a good vehicle for that? I'd do a stout but I'm moving in a few months so it wouldn't have time to age. Brown ale? Pale Ale? American Ale? What sayeth you?

I would definitely do the pepper in an American Amber or APA. Sounds delicious! I did one about 2 years ago and hope to do another soon.

I'm preparing to add the dry hops to my Cascadian Dark Ale tonight. Has to be bottled in <7 days for best results.

Put a flat as a pancake Irish-ish Red into the keezer on a nitro blend. I know it's not the best method for carbing up, but currently trying to troubleshoot and get the pours just right. Last attempt started over-carbed and foamy, not going to let it happen again. I'll take the slow route this time to get things dialed in.

Just waited a bit for the Starsan I poured into a gallon jug of water to diffuse. Gonna take the hydrometer sample in a bit. I'll post a pick in a while. * Hydrometer pic & other info now posted in kottbusser thread.

Poured cooled clear candi sugar simple syrup into my Red Belgian Tripel now that primary is finished. It smelled lovely. I can't wait to try it in a week when it gets bottled.

I've been brewing for many years and I live in brew-town, so it's a surprise that I never did this until yesterday: I went to a brewpub and they have windows into the brewery. I went and admired the toys, and followed the line from mash tun to boil kettle to big pump to massive plate chiller to fermenter. The owner?brewer? noticed me looking and we chatted for a bit. That was kinda cool.

shopped successfully for specialty grains for my American PA. got a starter of WLP001 going. prepped for the brew day tomorrow. happy b'day me.

I'm visiting Oklahoma, so my SIL and I just went to get a collection of nice local brews for later while we all watch Wisconsin basketball.

I worked up a recipe to try to clone Alaskan Hopothermia. Should be a good brew this weekend.

Started making a chalk board tap handle today, and fixed (temporarily) my foamy kegerator pours by shooting CO2 into the "out" post.

And I got my Homebrewtalk.com stickers in the mail! Cheers.

Bought 2#'s of crystal 60 for some future IPA's I'll brew. Also got more whirfloc tabs. I am going to bottle my CDA this weekend, Monday at the latest.

Today, for the cause of beer, I awoke early, made a big waffles and eggs breakfast for the family, and cleaned up the kitchen afterward.

And for this, I will brew without harassment tomorrow :rockin:

I didn't actually do this today; I did it last week...

Swapped out my standard faucets for Perlicks.

WOW! What an upgrade!!!

Got the priming solution cooling for the kottbusser finally. Had a bottle of Oculto & some vodka to ease my back & hip pain to get to bottling. :drunk: Wife wouldn't let oldest mutli-handicapped son watch cable upstairs, so I got to babysit a 33 year old with the mind of a 10 year old all day. At least he likes this old house & victory garden.

Got my kottbusser bottled. Got 52-12oz bottles. Funny tha the beer was only slightly misty. Cloudy FG sample was due to the fact that the spigot was almost completely plugged. And it sits higher than the other Fv or the bottling bucket? That grain mill looks really different. Hopper reminds me of the old metal jugs grandpa had.:mug:

I suppose that differentiates it from your actual porn tab...
