What do you guys think of this IPA recipe?

Type: All Grain
Batch Size (fermenter): 3.00 gal Boil Size: 3.62 gal
Boil Time: 60 min

Est OG: 1.061
Est FG: 1.013 6.4% abv

Grain:
6lbs Munich II (Weyermann) (8.5 SRM)
8oz Caramel/Crystal Malt - 60L (10.0 SRM)
4oz Carapils (Briess) (1.5 SRM)

Est IBU's: 55.7
Hops:
0.5oz Centennial [10.00 %] - Boil 60.0 min
0.5oz Centennial [10.00 %] - Boil 30.0 min
0.5oz Amarillo Gold [8.50 %] - Aroma Steep 5.0
0.5oz Citra [12.00 %] - Aroma Steep 5.0 min
0.5oz Cascade [5.50 %] - Aroma Steep 0.0 min

0.5oz Amarillo Gold [8.50 %] - Dry Hop 14.0 days
0.5oz Cascade [5.50 %] - Dry Hop 14.0 Days
0.5oz Citra [12.00 %] - Dry Hop 14.0 Days

Yeast:
California Ale (White Labs #WLP001)

Other:
1oz Orange Peel, Sweet (Boil 5.0 mins)


So what are your thoughts? -feel free to rip it apart :cross:

I also realise the munich 2 may be a bit out of the ordinary, but I am a fan of using it as a base malt.

Well, it is homebrew, which means we get to do what we love - experiment with beer. This wouldn't fit neatly into any particular style guidelines, but if you don't care, it shouldn't matter what anyone else thinks if you're not entering it into a contest.

But if you want to get ripped up . . . :cross:

Yeah, I wouldn't use Munich II as a base malt for an IPA - or orange peel for that matter.

Seems like a lot of different flavors that might end up out of phase.

Haha, yeah well I am probably not going to use the orange peel. Should get enough citrus from the hops. Still up in the air on the Munich. May use US 2 row pale. I just have some Munich left.
 
I did dopplebock with mostly german munich as the grain. Everyone seems to like it besides me, so you might be ok... But id swap it out for vienna if you were making the beer for me
