To rack or not to rack

How important is it to rack? I have a carboy and have racked brews in the past, but I'm feeling lazy. My latest brew, an IPA, has fully fermented in the primary and I figured I would leave it for another week just to be sure. I'm not planning to dry hop.

Unless I am adding something that I for some reason don't want in the primary, or if aging for months, I never do a secondary. I even dry hop in primary.

I do not rack. Never have. Why not dry hop? I dry hop my primary all the time. Open that bucket up and throw a handful of hops in there worry free!

It's not being lazy. It's being economical in time and effort. I don't use a secondary. My beers will sit in primary for up to a month (I have three fermenters), and then rack to keg. The beer turns out wonderfully.

I used to be a hard core secondary person. After numerous brews without going to the trouble I determined time in a secondary was pointless. I MIGHT have ended up with a LITTLE less sediment in the bottle but it really isn't noticeable.

Not, there's no point for most beers. Oxidation is the enemy.

I used to rack for my first 4 years brewing - cause that how I was shown. The past 4 years I have given up racking and have seen no difference. So I would say don't bother in my opinion.
