Hi,
I'm trying to make my own stir plate using computer fan (from the power supply) and a transformer to 6V and a speed regulator I just got online.
I don't understand how to wire the speed regulator.
Here are some pictures I took: http://imgur.com/a/jCsiy
Does anybody knows how should I wire it?

That device is intended to be plugged into a 4-wire PWM fan header on a computer motherboard to in turn drive a three wire analog (non-PWM) fan. But I found a couple of statements that it can also be plugged into a 3-wire fan header, which suggests the blue wire - the PWM signal - actually isn't necessary to make it operate. The green wire would be the fan tach signal back to the motherboard and isn't needed in any case.

If you want to give it a try, connect the black wire from the 4-pin side to DC return, the yellow wire to DC power (which I believe actually wants to be 12VDC, not 6V, but it may work at 6V). Then connect the black fan wire to the pin closest to the "NO: PWM-1FC" label side of the three pin header and the yellow fan wire to the middle pin. Turn on the juice and try turning the potentiometer. If you're lucky something will happen...

Cheers!
