I have always used pin lock kegs.. but a friend gave me keg (with beer) and it was a ball lock style. So, I bought some Jansamn ball lock keg fittings.. I thought they were universal.. but I cannot seem to get them to connect. I push down, and they do not click in.

Any advice??

Are you lifting the collar up while pressing down? Sometimes (assuming everything is compatible and is what it's supposed to be) it's a bit tight. I know mine from use to use sometimes feel like they're not going to go on. I typically squirt some StarSan on the fittings...to sanitize and lube it up a bit.

I would also check to make sure the beer isn't severely over carbonated, causing higher than normal resistance. And make sure the disconnects are going on the correct posts. With ball lock, they are slightly different sizes.
