Question about using Atwood Bilge Blower Fan in Keezer

I installed an Atwood 4" Bilge Fan in my keezer and it has stopped running after about 1 year. I run it continuously in the keezer. I realize this fan was designed for use in boats and not on constantly so is this the normal life cycle of this product? Not sure I want to pay $24 each year for a fan.

Cheap computer fan is what everyone else seems to be using. Along with an unused cell phone charger.
