I was going to do a quick kit and kilo and picked up a pack of Munton's Beer Kit Enhancer (to sub instead of dextrose). The Enhancer comes in a plastic package and looks like it is just dry spray malt and dextrose. However I noticed there is no date on the package.

Should it be ok to use considering all the ingredients are dry? Will dray malt go bad? Just looking to do a basic kit and kilo but have no idea how long the brew enhancer was sitting on the shelf. Any advice appreciated.

Yo grasshopper - If the enhancer is still granular, i.e. not hard as a rock, it is ok to use. Best wishes for your brew in Nova Scotia.

If it is hard as a rock it is still OK to use but it will take longer to dissolve into the wort. Breaking into pieces will speed it up, smaller pieces dissolve quicker.

I used some real old stuff and turned out good

Plus if it is dry and anything with no mosture it should not expire
