Hi,
I've brewed this recipe: http://www.homebrewersassociation.org/homebrew-recipe/peanut-butter-jelly-time/
The beer came out good and the peanut butter is in the aroma and in the taste.
Unfortunately the taste is a bit alcoholic and I suspect that it's because of the use of natural proof spirit in the PB2 in order to sanitize it.
My question is does it really necessary to sanitize the PB2 powder? I mean it's factory sealed and powdery so I won't suspect it will have any bacteria living in it. Has anyone tried to just put the PB2 in secondary without sanitizing it or boiling it first?
