I've always used Mr. Malty's yeast calculator for my yeast starters. However, yesterday I started questioning if I've been using it right this whole time. I've always entered my yeast starter OG into the OG field i.e. 1.035. Is this right or am I supposed to enter the OG of the actual beer I'm going to brew that the yeast starter is for? I'm pretty sure it's the yeast starter OG, but I hope I'm right or I've been doing it wrong this whole time.

Its supposed to be the og of the beer you will be making....the og of your starter should always be around 1.040... use the ratio of 10ml water to 1g dme
