Hello all,

I have a kegerator with some space concerns, I currently have low profile keg couplers for the commercial kegs I dispense. I'd like to get into kegging homebrew, but with couplers on them, the soda kegs are too tall. Are there any alternate options than products like this ( or spending a ton of money on a new 3 gallon soda keg)->

Thanks for any help

I searched around best I could and didn't see anything on the subject

perhaps a 90 degree angle fitting could be fastened?

Yes, exactly what I'm looking for, which looks like the next poster provided a link to

I haven't seen anything...these MIGHT be shorter, but if so, not by much, and they might even be taller.....

Looks like they may work. Guess I will just have to buy it and find out !

Judging by this keg dimension chart ->

Cornys are a tiny bit shorter than your regular old sixtel. I think I have 23.5"24" of clearance in my fridge (not at home, don't remember).. you can see how close it is in my kegerator here:

Appreciate the help you guys.

youll be fine. my ball locks don't even go as tall as the handles of the corny... if you go pinlock, the kegs are a tad shorter but the connectors are taller so it's a tradeoff

I agree with elmetal. Looking at that pic, I think you'll be aces with the regular quick disconnects, (I'd try that before spending 4x on the SS ones, but that's just me)

Did you ever get something to work? I'm in the same boat

Actually no, I haven't made any movement on corny kegs. At that point in time I thought it was the only way for homebrew, until I saw the threads on disassembling sankey kegs. Since I am already outfitted for all of that, I am going to go that route... no need to swap any equipment in that case. Corny kegs are cheap and easy to come by so maybe I will use them for storage and transfer around when necessary to a sankey to dispense

Guys sorry to ask this of you, but is there any chance you can get a measurement for me? Looking to see the exact clearance needed for a corny keg with the fittings and line on it.. tape measure would do. I'd do it myself but I don't have the means to get these measurements w/out the corney kegs myself.

Thanks

My five gallon ball lock measures 26-1/4" from bottom to top of line. I use the MFL ball lock disconnects so I can switch lines from corney to sankey easily.

I am looking for a fitting that is about 1/2" tops above the handle. Will the SS ones work? I am looking to put on on the hump of my Keezer. Any ideas?
