Started my third batch yesterday, came home from work and the bucket lid was on the floor. There was not much of a mess but the lid was dry, have no idea how long it was left open. I resanitized the lid and put it back on. Is there any chance my beer will still be ok?

I'd say it'll be fine, fermentation was going pretty hard when that blew off and the rate of fermentation would have kept anything harmful out. What were you brewing?

It it blew the lid off your yeast produced a lot of CO2 which is laying on top of the brew. Feel good and just put it back on. The CO2 protected the brew in most cases as it's heaver than air and sort of "seals" the brew.
