3# amber dme
5# 2row
2.5# Munich malt
.5# special B
.5# chocolate malts
1# Belgian dark candi syrup
mash 2row munich special B and chocolate malts for 45-50 mins at 155 deg
sparged 168 for 10 mins
then turned the burner on and brought to a boil added DME and hops
60 min boil
20z of northen brewer 60min
1oz sazz 20 min
WL 530 Trappist
ferement for 7 days
secondary with bourbon french oak chips 3-4 pounds of plumbs vanilla beans and choclate with orval dreg starter for funkiness
so here is the recipe i am brewing for my girlfriends birthday. i'm calling it Khaleesi because she is my queen. and i love game of thrones!!! i got the OG to 1.080 and it is fermenting with WL 530 Trappist. i will let it ferment for at least 7 days before i rack it to secondary with bourbon soaked french oak chips plumbs and vanilla beans, and to top it off going to add an oval dreg starter to funk it up while it sits and ages.
