Keggle Question

I just started to build my keggle today. I put a 1/2 ball valve for a drain at the bottom. On the inside of the keg I installed a large neoprene washer, a regular washer then a nut to lock everything in place. Does anyone know if that neoprene washer will hold up to the heat? It seals up everything now but I have not boiled anything yet.

I am pretty sure that neoprene isn't food safe, get you some silicone washers from some of the vendors on here.
