I brewed a pseudo-vienna lager using toasted hemp seeds (1lb mashed in 5gal). Remembering my initial research I thought the seeds should lend a "bready/biscuity" flavor. When BJCP judged I got my best score ever 37/50 & comment said judge could drink it all night but hemp seeds were not detected, just biscuit malt. Thing is I added no/zero biscuit malt...is my research/recipe flawed or did the judge actually taste the hemp seeds but think it was biscuit malt???

One of my friends brews a brown ale with ground hemp seeds and has been winning awards with it. It definitely has a dry biscuity like character .. and a little something else too...

Sounds like the judge picked up on that addition.. :) Congrats!
