Hello,

I opened my first Irish stout from bottling after two weeks and I must say I was very impressed and had a very full aroma and flavor. HOWEVER, this week (3rd week after bottling) the flavor and aroma of the beer appears to have died down. Its as if I taste more alcohol than flavor now. Any ideas on what may have occurred(oxidation?)

Oxidation doesn't make it boozy tasting. If it tastes boozy, it probably is. What is the ABV? If it's a strong beer, you're probably drinking it too young at 3 weeks.

Inconsistencies can happen from bottle to bottle. All I can recommend is to make sure the beer is ready to be drank (at that low ABV, it should be) and give it a few days in the fridge before drinking it. If most of them taste bad or off, it may be a bigger issue.
