I made a starter on sat bubbled away all day sunday. now it is monday and it looks like i wont be able to brew for probably 2 weeks.
is there a way to save this starter for that long and just restart it later?
can i just put it in a jar and put in fridge?
with or without airlock?

If it were me, I'd refrigerate it, then bring it back to life when you're ready to use it.

does it need to be in a smaller jar that is full with no air or anything or do you put it in with the airlock on as is

In the fridge, jar is fine, no airlock needed.

When the time comes to brew, take it out and decant most of the liquid. Let it warm to room temp, swirl up the yeast with the remaining liquid, and pitch it all.
