How much time do you guys give your beer in the fridge before drinking?
My 1st batch has been in the bottle at room temp for 3 weeks.
Is there anything else I need to do?

If I were you, I'd stick a bottle in the freezer for about 15-20 minutes and give it a taste. This is the most important part of home-brewing. Don't skip that step.

I let mine go for about 4-6 weeks for a normal strength (~4-5%) brew. Bigger brews will get more aging time. I think in the next week or so, put one in and try it. In the mean time, start another batch.

just long enough to drink it at the desired temp. if you want to chill in a hury put in the freezer for 5 minutes, pull the bottle out tilt it and turn so the cold beer on the outside mingles with the warmer beer on the inside. repeat this 3 or 4 times but be care towards the end it'll freez in a hurry if you're not watching
