Ordered and picked up hops from my LHBS on April 10th. Immediately went home and planted them. Noticed when I was opening the bags that they were all dry and seemed brittle. One was actually cracked but planted anyway. Should I not see a sprout by now from any of them? I have 3 year plants from another online order years ago that are growing typically. Not feeling hopeful at this point at all.

I've always put mine in starter pots first, then transplant. Brittle sounds bad. You can always take cuttings off existing root system and plant in a new bed, unless you are adding new species.

Thanks so far. Cascade and willamette. The ones I bought previously were definitely damp and felt like they came straight out of the ground and handed to me instead of sent through the mail.

My cascades are pretty hardy. I think it may be worth your effort to fig them up and see what's happening. If you don't see anything sprouting on the rootstock, you may have to complain to the LHBS about it. If there are sprouts (They may be slow due to being so dry) then you may be fine putting them back in the soil carefully.
