Howdy folks,

I got started down the road to brewing beer by making mead using the JAOM method a couple of years ago, and those are still aging. Was never really crazy about beer (more a wine guy) because all I had ever known was Bud and the like which I never seemed to enjoy. Anyhoo...a few months ago I was parched after mowing the grass and grabbed a Corona that was in the fridge. Seemed like the best damn thing I'd ever drank. I told a co-worker my story and he dragged me to a local Ale joint afterwhich my eyes were opened!

I've made three extract batches so far (Irish Red, Extra Pale, Nut Brown) and the first IR gets opened up this weekend! I followed the 2/2/2 rule that I've read here so many times and am excited to crack open the first bottle.

The bug has bitten me and I'm already collecting parts to go all grain.
