Hey everyone, new to this homebrew talk. I joined because this is only my second time brewing and had a problem, however I think everything is going to be ok from some older posts that I read. I am brewing a german style dark beer. Had a little problem with the kraussen filling up my airlock, long story short big mess and broke my airlock. But i have a blow off tube running to a pot of sanitized water.

welcome! I am not to far from Omaha, in fact my wife's family lives there so I get the opportunity to drive there quite often. The blow off tube should work well, I have only had an air lock plug up once but I had extras so I just switched it and soaked the first one to clean it.
