That is a good idea, can you treat these like lab glass if they are designed to go on hot plates for coffee??? even if you can't at least they have a flat bottom.
These are pyrex so the should be fine to boil with but im not sure if i can use them on a electric stove.. I have heard some say they do it all the time and others that say they will break. At least it has a handle so i can quickly pull it off the head to avoid boil overs.
