My wheat has been carbonating for 5 days in my basement at room temp at 32psi which is the calc from brewsmith. I checked it today after leaving the reg off then releasing pressure last night. I poured an entire pint of foam but I can't see the possibility of overcarbing in 5 days. Anyone ever had this experience?

Is it still at room temp? 32psi for 5 days is a lot.

Get it down to serving temp and pressure for a day or two and all should be good.

lol, yeah you overcarbed it man, 5 days at 32psi is a LOT. just shut off the gas and bleed it every few hours for a day or so, it'll be fine (I just did this due to regulator going crazy)

32 PSI at room temp is not "a lot" no matter how many days. It's chart pressure for around 2.4 volumes of co2. Of course, I'm assuming room temp is 70F or so.

The reason it's pouring foam is that, I'm assuming, you didn't chill the beer down. Warm beer doesn't like holding on to its co2. If you got the keg down to 40F, I'm sure it will pour fine and you'll probably find that it's not quite carbed all the way yet.

Thanks for the replies. I cooled the keg for about eight hours hooked it up at serving pressure. No foam slightly undercarbed but fn delicious Tha ks
