My ears started bleeding just from the firing of neuronal pathways I thought long since atrophied, conjuring painful memories of forced exposure to the mindless generic commercial cacophony as I read that list of tripe...you are a truly disturbed individual :D

Hey come on; those are all classics. I forgot to add Spice Girls, Aqua and Kajagoogoo. ;)

I brew Saturday mornings. Listen to WXRT Saturday Morning Flashback with Wendy Rice 8am - Noon. A different year in rock is highlighted each week. Last week was 1985, this week 1967. I was a teenager in '67. Should bring back some fine memories.

I'm really surprised to see two people with Makem and Clancy on their lists.

Mine includes the following:

Rogue Wave
Matt Pond PA
The Decemberists
Faith No More
Kool Keith
Sun Kil Moon
Steve Earle
Handsome Boy Modeling School
Or really whatever is lying around...

These can all be found on You Tube:

Korpiklaani *<- one of the ONLY bands that actually mentions home brewed beer in a song, that I know of.
- *Let's Drink
- Wooden Pints
- Happy little boozer
- Beer Beer
(in that order)

Finntroll
- Trollhammaren

I can also be found listening to select
Waylander
- King of the Faries
- Bru Na Boinne
- Sunrise

I also like:
The High Kings (hands down the best versions of "The rocky road to Dublin" and "Whiskey in the jar" I have heard.)
Celtic Legends - Irish drinking song

The above are the "special" stuff that I mix into the standard Floggy Molly/Dropkick Murphy's/ kinda stuff.

Wow, quite the diverse, yet amazingly good, lists here so far. Recently, I've been jumping between Lou Reed and JJ Cale, depending upon my mood. That will all change soon, no doubt. My library is far more extensive than just those two.

as long as i'm not watching any sports on t.v. while i'm brewing, i'll listen to country music. :mug:

A sophisticated blend of Death and Black metal. Nothing like a little live Amon Amarth to get the brew fermenting!

Since I'm only brewing in the kitchen right now, I just attach my laptop to my stereo receiver in the living room, fire up Pandora. I"ll usually go with the Rock Hits Radio channel.

Grateful Dead, Yonder Mountain String Band, Keller & The Keels, JJ Grey & MOFRO or I just started listening to Sirius satellite "Jam On" station.....

started up a batch of American Brown Ale tonight

threw on some Talking Heads (Remain in Light) and Crosseyed and Painless came on and thought it was a perfect song for what we do, esp while waiting for my water to boil on my weak stove top

...still waiting...

what do you enjoy listening to while you brew?

Loud thrash metal!
