So I had this bright idea to use a garden hose in the kitchen to fill carboys and buckets for sanitation. I bought a 15 foot hose and it was all working great.

I just moved into a new home and I did a test boil (80 min for 5 gallons) and wanted to find out how long it would take to chill. I turned up the water pressure to check it out with my wort chiller and I started getting spray every where.

I tried to disconnect the hose from the adapter but it's stuck in the hose. It's silver in color and I believe I got it with my wort chiller or bottle sprayer. Anyway it's a piece of crap. I tried removing it from the hose but it kept breaking apart so it's pretty much stuck in my hose. (any suggestions for getting that out?)

Does Home Depot or Menards sell a much more high quality adapter?

Does anyone have suggestions on getting the best seal between hose and adapter and faucet?

What I want is something that I can disconnect and doesn't spray.

I'm going to go look around tomorrow morning but am looking for suggestions.

Thanks
