Has anyone ever run into the issue of a spicy (lack of a better term) flavor when you pour your first beer after it sits for a day or more? After I dump the first pour the flavor is totally gone until the beer sits up for a day or more.

Im using Belvex antimicrobial tubing and clean with HOT 135*F oxyclean through a recirculating pump for 10 mins or so then flush with water and Starsan. The tubing is probably close to 2 years old.

I have a three tap keezer and I it doesnt happen to tap #1. I cant remember if it has happened to tap 2 or not but for sure is on tap 3 currently. I just kegged a Blonde for tap 2 yesterday and today there is no off taste so far.

Thoughts???

Long shot, but have you changed the keg O-rings (particularly the big one under the lid) lately? I've got a buddy who makes homemade root beer, and the O-rings after one keg of it are absolutely impregnated with root beer to the point if you put anything else in that keg, even after a good long hot soak and cleaning, you get root beer flavor. The o-ring may be imparting some weird off-flavor in that keg/tap. Also could be in the line as well, despite good cleaning.

Haven't changed them but cleaned them very well and its a different keg than the last one.

Once the new beer is carbonated Im thinking I will swap taps and see if the problem follows.
