So I was building a circulating fan unit for my fermenting chamber today when the blades of the 80mm computer fans (2) I used started to break off. Granted, it could be the cheap fans I scavenged. But since I am electrically less inclined, I thought it could be electrical. Here is the data on the power source and fans:

Fans: 12VDC, .56A
PS: 12VDC, 1A

Could I have overdone it on the fans with the PS?

your power supply is fine, I'd say old weak fan blades
the fans will can only draw there max amp, just cause you have room with the power supply doesn't make the fans use any more or less current

Okey doke. Guess I should just pay the extra couple of bucks to get new ones. Maybe I will post a DIY on how I did it.
