so i have made both an immersion chiller and also a counterflow chiller over time and it got me thinking into making a duel cooling cfc chiller. and what i mean by that is using 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 inch tubing. it would have two ports for water to flow up through the smallest and largest diameter pipe while the wort flows through the middle 1/2inch pipe.

i know when it comes to cooling down wort, surface contact area and water temp are key. so i was just brainstorming and curious to see if its been done, or if its even worth it. i already have plenty of copper tubing.

Seems like overkill to me. With a proper sized CFC running at a reasonable flow, the exiting wort will be the same temp as the chilling water.
