Greetings, folks...

I'm new at this (second batch this year, third in the the last 10 years)

I have a Coopers Lager Extract kit that I pitched the yeast into on July 15th, 2015; its sittin' in a closet at a steady 22-23 degrees celcious. I plan to go secondary with it (a first) after keepong it in primary for 3ish weeks.

Not sure how long I'll wait before bottling.

Being new at this, I'd like to hear some advice on how to go about it. My only firm plan with it is to try going secondary with it.

What else could I try? Yes, I've got some time. ;)

Thanks for anything,

-Aaron

Is it the Cooper's OS (Original Series) lager? If yes, then it's using ale yeast. If it's one of the other ones, it's a lager yeast & the temp's too high.

Just for reference, 20C equals 68F. So if you can lower the temp a couple degrees, it'll come out better with the Cooper's yeast that gives off fruity esters anyway. Lower temps will minimize the level of these yeast esters. Wet tee shirts could do it.
