I’ve bought the 10kw rounded heater elements (https://store.brewpi.com/mashing/st...ting-element-for-brewing-50cm-diameter-10000w)

and a three phased Solid state relay (https://store.brewpi.com/temperatur...-relays-ssr/3-phase-solid-state-relay-ssr-20a)

and PID controllers with thermowells (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0195V53X8/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20).

Does anyone have an idea of where I could get schematics of connecting such three phased elements? I've seen a bunch of youtube tutorials for making the controller, just not with three phased elements and SSRs.

Even better if it is with european plugs!

Attached are a couple of drawing from P-J Meuth. He did these a long time ago and they might actually need to be updated. Use these at you're own risk.

I wouldn't use either of those P-J schematics as is. Neither has a way of positively disconnecting the incoming power with a single switch. In order to disconnect all power, you need to manually switch all of the input circuit breakers off.

It's not safe to depend on SSR's for positive disconnect, as SSR's most often fail in the on state. Best option for a positive disconnect is a three pole contactor controlled by a separate switch.

Brew on :mug:

Agreed doug293cz, I should have added that to my comments. These might be a starting point, but definitely need to add contactors for all incoming power and to switch each phased leg.

the unit has 3 elements @ 230v with a combined neutral
the rest is the same as a single phase controller.

L1 -> A1/A2 -> Element L1
L2 -> B1/B2 -> Element L2
L3 -> C1/C2 -> Element L3

this is how you connect the 5 wires to your element

and use CEE 5-pole powerplugs and sockets rated at minimum 32A and a 5x2,5mm2 cable

to cut the power, i used a Siemens 3-pole relay from siemens
