Is there a way to input ingredients you have laying around into brew smith and it spit out RECEIPEs it could be used in? Cause I got the program and only thing I do is input my own receipes hahahah to high tech for me I guess

No, beersmith is a brewing tool designed to handle and manage recipes, etc, as well as assist in the many calculations used in brewing. It is not a recipe creator or generator, that my friend is the job of the brewer ;)
 
What Duboman said. You can manage ingredients, recipes, equipment profiles, etc.

YOU have to input recipes, but the nice thing about Beersmith is that it has graphs to let you know if your recipe is to style or not. Useful if you are building a recipe and want to know what style it is, or if it's a bit hoppy for a style, or the ABV is in range or whatever.

It's also a calculator, so you can find out how much water and grain to use for any recipe. You still have to plug stuff in and come up with a basic recipe to start with. It can't pick ingredients for you.
