blowing starter's foil cap

Noticed this morning the foil cap on my starter was on the ground and yeast and stuff everywhere. I think it's been like this for 24 hours. Is the starter still good with it running for that long without the foil cover?

That's kind of up to you and your comfort level. If you are brewing very soon, I would say go ahead and use it. Next time leave some more headspace and or use some ferm cap.
