I have never made any sours or bacteria laden brews before, but if I brew a Berliner Weiss with lacto will I need a dedicated primary? I use better bottles if that makes a difference. I would really prefer to be able to use that better bottle for non sour brews in the future.

Once you use any equipment for sours, that's all I'd use it for going forth.

lacto's don't play well with others, especially when dealing with plastic.

If you have perfect sterilization you can do it with glass or SS but with better bottles get a dedicated one.

I've been told glass and SS are fine because they aren't pourous so a good santizier soak should take care of it, but plastic is a problem. I've got a berliner going right now, and I plan to buy a new thief and auto syphon to use with non sour beers in the future as those are all plastic. You can also heat sterilize glass and SS.
