Wonderful wife bought me a kit for Christmas, whadda gal. Now, 2 extracts and 3 partials later (4 of which were delicious) I'm about to jump to all grain. Happy to learn of other's experiences, I would have been substantially lost without a couple of friendly local brewers and a LHBS to guide me a bit.

Well if you have to go all grain then take a look at this page on batch sparging. It is pretty simple and not a lot of cash outlay.

Dennybrew is exactly what I had been using as a springboard, and thanks so much for the link to the Simple AG Brewing site - I feel certain I can get 90% of the way there easy and cheap (I like that) and the final 10% is what keeps me interested. Good math, good science, a little care, and Great Beer!
