A tap to shank screwing

So when screwing taps to their respective shanks, does one use any sort of Teflon tape or is metal on metal ok in this case?

A bit of keg lube on the o-ring and on the shank threads will help with sealing and prevent galling, but definitely no tape...

Make sure there actually is an o-ring on the back if your tap. If so, the metal-on-metal of the shank collar on the tap is fine as that is not what is actually sealing.
