Just got done bottling my first ever batch. I ended up with only 46 bottles and that was by tilting the bottling bucket. I noticed when I siphoned that there was only about 4.5 gallons in the bottling bucket. Is that normal (after a couple hydrometer readings) and a little spillage when bottling.
Thanks

Some lose that much to a lot of trub in the bottom of primary. I get a half inch or less,& 5 gallon batches only net us 48 bottles.

I got 51 yesterday but since it was extract, I topped off at five gallons before pitching, plus about a cup and a half of priming sugar water
