I know most of the nation is still in the death grip on winter, but here in Washington State Spring has sprung. This year's hop crop should be one of the best ever. Some of my plants are already 6" tall.

TIL that spring starts earlier in Washington State than here in Florida.

All fifteen of my going-on-5th-year crowns are currently under almost 8 feet of snow
Not just the ~5 feet that fell on them directly, but everything I've shoveled off the upper deck above the beds.

If we don't have one hella epic warm early spring it may be May before I see them again...

Cheers!

I ordered a rhizome this year, been spring here in CA for the last month. Although it is supposed to freeze later this week, so I'm glad my rhizome hasn't shown up yet! Can't wait to plant it sometime in March.
