So at the beginning of the season I cut back all but 5 shoots from each plant, and now they are about 10 feet tall already here in Ohio. Now they are starting to grow new shoots from the existing bines about 6 feet up, they are branching out with new bines with nodes on them… should I cut those back or let them go?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Welcome to HBT! You should let those go, those branching out bines with nodes are where the hops will grow. Usually at the start of the season I cut back all bines and then once they start growing again, just keep some of them. The early bines are usually bull shoots and are kind of hollow, not as strong, and produce nodes spaced far apart. The second growth on the other hand, tend to have shorter spaces between nodes and so produce more hops potentially.
